THE HOVERCRAFT MUSEUM LEE-ON-THE-SOLENT This museum contains the world's largest collection of hovercraft. They include numerous and varied types that were used for passenger, military, experimental and other purposes. The museumhas some of the largest and earliest examples, including the only remaining car-carrying SR.N4 - The "Princess Anne" was operational across the English Channel (Dover-Boulogne) in the 1970/80/90's. All craft are currently non-operational. The museum is family friendly and there is a gift shop and cafe. GARTELL LIGHT RAILWAY YENSTON, TEMPLECOMBE This is a narrow gauge railway located in the Blackmore Vale countryside, Somerset which opened in 1984. The railway is privately operated by the Gartell family and their friends. It is only opened to the public on selected dates through the year. The 'Pines Buffet' serves hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and hot meals. There is a souvenir, gift shop and picnic areas. This railway is family friendly and it makes the effort to provide the best possible facilities and effort to cater for disabled accessibilty.
